Live-In Position Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and highly organised Camp Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of a remote training camp. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage operations, hospitality, logistics, staff, and guest experiences in a high-end wilderness environment ?✨ As a key member of the team, the Camp Coordinator ensures that all camp operations run smoothly, staff are supported, and guests and students receive an exceptional and professional experience ?️??? ? Key Responsibilities: Camp Operations & Coordination • Oversee day-to-day operations of a remote training camp ?️ • Ensure compliance with reserve and concession rules and regulations • Manage guest, student, and staff adherence to codes of conduct ? • Liaise with reserve management, landowners, and internal teams on operational matters • Oversee camp infrastructure, vehicles, equipment, and maintenance requirements ?️ Hospitality; Housekeeping & Guest Experience • Maintain high-end hospitality and housekeeping standards ?️✨ • Manage room allocations, camp presentation, cleanliness, and guest comfort • Oversee guest arrivals, departures, and overall experience • Collect and manage guest and student feedback for continuous improvement Administration; Logistics & Communication • Manage camp communications including phone and emails ?? • Prepare for courses: listings, paperwork, welcome letters, room allocations, menus, and food orders ?️ • Maintain camp administration: filing, invoicing, and record-keeping • Manage stock control, petty cash, and basic financial administration ? People & Staff Management • Supervise housekeeping, kitchen, and general camp staff ? • Allocate duties, manage schedules, and maintain performance standards • Foster a positive, professional camp culture • Maintain effective relationships with instructors, students, interns, and visitors Health; Safety & Compliance • Ensure compliance with legal, insurance, health, and safety requirements ⚠️ • Implement and maintain company policies and procedures • Maintain accurate records and reporting related to compliance and operations ? Minimum Requirements: Educational Qualifications • Matric (Grade 12) ✅ • Qualification from a recognised Hotel School, Hospitality Management institution, or formal lodge operations/high-end housekeeping training Experience • Minimum 5 years in safari, lodge, hospitality, conservation, or tour operating environment ? • Proven experience in camp, lodge, or operational coordination roles • Experience working in remote or wilderness-based environments ?️ Technical & Professional Skills • Strong organisational, logistical, and administrative skills ? • High computer literacy ? • Experience with stock control, cash handling, and basic invoicing • Ability to implement high-end hospitality standards in a remote environment Personal Attributes • High energy, solution-oriented, pragmatic approach ⚡ • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills ?️ • Strong leadership presence and people-management ability • Professional, accountable, and with high integrity • Valid driver’s licence ? • Excellent track record with contactable references ?
