Assistant Lodge Manager & Guide Vacancy | Hoedspruit, Limpopo A prestigious luxury lodge located in the beautiful Hoedspruit region of Limpopo is seeking an experienced and passionate couple to join their team as a Front of House/Assistant Manager and Guide/Assistant Manager. The Front of House/Assistant Manager will be responsible for maintaining outstanding guest service standards, overseeing administrative processes, managing stock control, and ensuring the lodge consistently delivers exceptional experiences from guest arrival through to departure. The Guide/Assistant Manager will play a vital role in guiding activities, lodge maintenance, staff support, and operational management. A strong guiding background is essential, with preference given to qualified Trails Guides. Candidates must possess the required industry qualifications and a passion for conservation, guest engagement, and hospitality excellence. Candidate Requirements (FOH/Assistant Manager) Proven experience in a 4-star or 5-star lodge environment (FOH experience essential) Strong administrative, organisational and planning skills Confident guest host with a passion for service excellence Ability to lead, manage and motivate staff Hands-on management approach Excellent attention to detail Strong focus on guest experience and presentation Responsibilities (FOH/Assistant Manager) Lead; manage and train Front of House staff Oversee central store stock takes and ordering alongside chefs Deliver exceptional guest hosting from arrival to departure Oversee room checks, camp readiness and guest touches Handle guest accounts, payments, petty cash and gratuities Manage orders and stock control administration Conduct weekly town trips when required Coordinate special guest experiences including sundowners and bush breakfasts Candidate Requirements (Guide/Assistant Manager) Previous experience in a 4-star or 5-star lodge environment Strong guiding background Trails Guide qualification preferred Minimum Qualifications FGASA Level 1 FGASA Lead Trails Guide FGASA ARH First Aid Level 1 Valid PrDP OR NQF 2 (including Unit Standards 8440 & 8478) VPDA First Aid Level 1 Valid PrDP Responsibilities (Guide/Lodge Operations) Conduct two game drives per day on rotation Manage social media activities Deliver exceptional interpretive guiding and guest engagement Manage lodge maintenance and overall property upkeep Assist with staff management and training Support lodge operations and step into management when required Participate in guest hosting and camp operations Conduct weekly town trips when required Assist with lodge administration and operational oversight
