Key Responsibilities Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations Prepare and present high‑quality dishes in line with luxury lodge standards Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and professional growth Contribute to menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients Monitor inventory, manage stock, and control food costs Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health, and safety regulations Support the Head Chef in maintaining organisation, efficiency, and high standards of service Assist with food preparation for à la carte, buffet, and special events ✅ Minimum Requirements Relevant culinary qualification Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a luxury lodge, hotel, or 5‑star environment Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations Excellent understanding of food hygiene and health and safety standards Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy kitchen Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Passionate about creativity, quality, and exceptional guest experiences Willingness to live and work in a remote lodge environment ✨ Ideal Candidate A creative and disciplined culinary professional with strong leadership skills, outstanding attention to detail, and a passion for producing refined, memorable cuisine in a luxury safari lodge setting. ? ?
