Hospitality and Outdoor – New Vacancy - Assistant Lodge Manager Luxury Lodge – Hluhluwe, KZN A luxury lodge in Hluhluwe is seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant Lodge Manager to join a small, close-knit team. This is a live-in role suited to a proactive all-rounder who is comfortable taking initiative, working independently, and supporting all areas of lodge operations. Please note: Couples are welcome to apply - combination of the Assistant Manager and FOH/ Duty Manager roles. Requirements: Previous experience in a similar in a luxury lodge as an Assistant Manager or Lodge Management role Valid driver’s licence First Aid Level 1 (preferred) Strong administrative and organisational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel is essential) Ability to work independently, use initiative, and perform well under pressure Confident and respectful staff management style Friendly; energetic, and professional demeanour Comfortable working and living in close quarters within a small team Responsibilities: Oversee daily lodge and camp operations, ensuring standards are consistently maintained Manage and resolve in-camp operational issues independently when required Daily administrative duties including statistics, stock sheets, stock counts, weekly orders, petty cash, and guest invoicing Guest check-ins, room checks for arrivals, and ensuring a high standard of guest experience Assist with guest meal service and support the FOH team during setup and service Oversee and manage the Housekeeping and Food & Beverage teams Daily menu planning with chefs, including dietary requirements and avoiding menu repetition Receiving deliveries, sourcing new goods, and capturing stock on the system Implement new protocols as issued by lodge management Oversee general maintenance and cleanliness of the lodge and guest rooms Package on Offer: R14;000 per month (depending on experience) Live-in position Meals while on duty and groceries supplied while off shift Provident fund (compulsory) Gratuities 3 weeks on / 1 week off Annual leave: 18 days per year Start Date: 1 March 2026
