Hospitality and Outdoor - New Vacancy - Chef de Partie (Junior and Senior) 5* Luxury Reserve – Hermanus, Western Cape (Please note, this is a live out position) Key Requirements · Recognised culinary qualification · Minimum of 3- 5 years’ experience in 4/5* professional kitchens, preferably luxury lodge, hotel, or fine dining · Proven experience as a Chef de Partie managing a section independently · Strong classical and modern cooking skills with a refined culinary palate · High standards of personal presentation, organisation, and attention to detail · Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and stock management · Natural leadership ability with strong communication and mentoring skills · Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining luxury service standards · Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays · Passion for hospitality, creativity, and delivering memorable guest experiences Key Responsibilities · Lead and manage a designated kitchen section within a luxury hospitality environment · Deliver refined, consistently high-quality dishes aligned with fine dining and lodge standards · Ensure exceptional attention to detail in food presentation, flavour, and portion control · Execute seamless service during peak periods while maintaining calm professionalism · Prepare fresh, high-quality daily mise en place using seasonal, local, and farm-sourced produce · Uphold the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness at all times · Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, control costs, and proactively minimise waste · Support menu development in collaboration with senior chefs, with a focus on creativity and seasonality · Prepare bespoke menus for private dining, villas, bomas, and exclusive guest experiences · Confidently accommodate special dietary requirements and personalised guest preferences · Train, mentor, and inspire junior chefs, fostering a culture of excellence and pride · Work closely with the Sous and Head Chefs to ensure smooth, refined kitchen operations · Represent the brand’s values through professionalism, teamwork, and guest-focused service Package: · Salary: R15 000 – R20 000 (Senior) · Live out position · Other company benefits Start Date: ASAP
