Job Summary
Overview
A well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee dispatch operations, fleet management, stock control, transport coordination, and warehouse logistics across multiple sites.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient product movement, accurate stock management, customer delivery performance, and operational compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily dispatch operations for local and export orders
- Coordinate company fleet, hired transport, and logistics scheduling
- Oversee stock control, stock movement, stock transfers, and stock takes
- Ensure accurate dispatch documentation, delivery notes, and load tracking
- Manage transport for contracts and project deliveries
- Oversee pipe/product transfers between sites including Duncanville
- Manage returns, GRNs, pre-invoicing, and pricelists
- Ensure effective use of Syspro and stock tracking systems
- Monitor fleet maintenance, licenses, COFs, breakdowns, and insurance claims
- Lead and manage dispatch, logistics, and warehouse personnel
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ, road legislation, and operational procedures
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales, or related field
- Minimum 5–10 years’ logistics and dispatch management experience within manufacturing, steel, industrial, or heavy engineering environments
- Strong fleet, warehouse, and stock control experience
- Experience with local and export logistics
- Syspro and stock tracking system experience essential
- Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Computer literate (Excel, Word, ERP systems)
