Our Client, in the Manufacturing Industry is seeking to employ an experienced Procurement Officer to join their team, based in George (Southern Cape)
Requirements

National Senior Certificate.

Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar purchasing or supply chain role.

Manufacturing industry experience is beneficial.
-
Valid driver’s license.

Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
-
Fully bilingual.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities

Evaluate products, suppliers, and services.
-
Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers.

Ensure approved purchases are cost-effective and meet quality standards.

Manage supply chain activities to support operational requirements.

Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and stock shortages.

Place purchase orders to replenish merchandise as required.
-
Track shipments, receive orders, and address delivery delays.
-
Oversee proper storage of products.
-
Maintain accurate inventory records of stock items and transactions.

Coordinate with inventory teams, management, and stockroom staff.

Generate and manage purchase orders.
-
Monitor supplier performance and evaluate supplier offerings.
