Requirements · Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Chef in a busy à la carte Restaurant environment · Proven leadership experience managing a professional Kitchen brigade · Strong background in seafood preparation and advanced meat cutting skills · Experience overseeing hot kitchen, cold kitchen, and pastry sections · Solid knowledge of food costing, stock control, and waste management within Hospitality · Strong understanding of food hygiene, safety compliance, and sustainable kitchen practices · Culinary qualification preferred · Fluent in English with reliable transport · Willingness to relocate to Gansbaai and work evenings, weekends, and public holidays Responsibilities · Lead and manage daily à la carte Kitchen service efficiently and professionally · Oversee hot, cold, and pastry sections to ensure quality and consistency · Prepare and cook seafood, premium steaks, proteins, sauces, and seasonal accompaniments · Maintain strict portion control and minimise waste to support food cost management · Supervise, train, and mentor junior chefs and kitchen assistants · Ensure correct storage, labelling, and stock rotation procedures · Uphold plating standards and overall quality control · Assist with stock ordering, inventory management, and menu planning · Implement and maintain sustainable kitchen practices Package: R18 000 – R22 000 per month (depending on experience) Start Date: ASAP
