Luxury Destination Restaurant | Franschhoek The Role We’re looking for a confident, hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead the front of house at one of Franschhoek’s standout destination restaurants. This role is about setting the tone on the floor, inspiring your team, and delivering a seamless, memorable guest experience every single service. What You’ll Do
Own the daily rhythm of the restaurant, ensuring service runs smoothly from open to close Lead; motivate, and develop a high-performing front-of-house team Create a polished, welcoming atmosphere that reflects the restaurant’s identity Manage reservations and flow to maximise both guest experience and table turnover Work closely with the kitchen to ensure timing, accuracy, and consistency Handle guest feedback with confidence, warmth, and professionalism Oversee stock, supplies, and readiness for service Uphold exceptional standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation Drive guest loyalty and repeat business through thoughtful service and engagement

Guests leave happy, impressed, and eager to return Service runs efficiently without losing its sense of ease and warmth The team feels supported, trained, and motivated Costs and stock are well controlled without compromising quality The restaurant consistently delivers on its reputation as a destination experience
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience managing a high-quality restaurant A natural leader who leads from the floor, not the office Strong communication skills and calm decision-making under pressure A sharp eye for detail, flow, and guest comfort Passion for hospitality, food, wine, and service excellence Hospitality qualification is an advantage, but real-world experience matters most
