Front of House Receptionist – Franschhoek Location: Franschhoek, Western Cape Position type: Full-time | Shifts (incl. weekends & public holidays) The Manor is seeking a warm, polished and highly organised Front of House Receptionist to join our team. This is a guest-facing role suited to someone who loves hospitality, thinks on their feet, and is happy to support across departments when the operation requires it. Key Responsibilities Deliver a friendly, professional welcome and check-in/check-out experience Manage guest communications (phone, email, WhatsApp) promptly and accurately Handle reservations, payments, invoicing and guest account queries Provide concierge-style assistance (local recommendations, bookings, transport, special requests) Ensure the reception area and guest touchpoints are immaculate and well presented Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to resolve guest needs quickly Assist other departments when needed (e.g., breakfast service support, turndown assistance, admin tasks) Maintain accurate logs, handovers, and incident reporting between shifts Requirements (Must-Have) Lives in Franschhoek or very close by (reliable daily transport is essential) Willing and able to work varied shift hours (early/late shifts, weekends, and public holidays) Excellent spoken and written English (additional languages are a bonus) Confident with computers and basic admin (emails, bookings, POS / PMS systems) Strong guest-service mindset with a calm, professional manner under pressure High attention to detail, punctual, trustworthy, and well-presented Able to be flexible and assist in other areas of the Manor when required Advantageous (Nice-to-Have) Experience with booking systems / PMS (e.g., RoomRaccoon or similar) Local area knowledge (Franschhoek wine farms, restaurants, activities) What We Offer A supportive team environment in a high-standard boutique property Competitive remuneration based on experience How to Apply Please email your CV and a short motivation letter explaining why you’re suited to this role.
