Kendrick Recruitment is looking for a dynamic and hands-on Assistant Hotel Manager to join a prestigious luxury boutique hotel in Franschhoek. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive hospitality professional to oversee day-to-day operations, support department heads, and ensure the hotel runs like a well-oiled machine.

Salary: R30,000 – R35,000 per month

The Assistant Hotel Manager will be the go-to person on the floor, supporting the Hotel Manager and assisting all Heads of Department.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing daily hotel operations and ensuring smooth workflow
Supporting and guiding department heads to maintain high standards
Identifying potential issues and proactively implementing solutions
Maintaining team motivation and fostering a positive work environment
Acting as an approachable, supportive figure for staff and guests
Ensuring the guest experience is seamless across all touchpoints
Hands-on involvement in operations while maintaining an overview of the property
Who they’re looking for:
Strong operational and problem-solving skills
Excellent people management and communication abilities
Proactive, approachable, and supportive leadership style
F&B experience advantageous but not essential
Able to work independently, take initiative, and keep the “engine running”
