INTERNAL VACANCY – SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
The company is looking for an energetic and analytical thinker who can assist with the companies system integration duties. This position will oversee and perform the administrative functions concerned with projects and systems integration. This may include liaising with contractors, placing orders, programming and system monitoring as well as daily/weekly audits. The incumbent will also be required to assist with housekeeping and general functions relating to SCADA and forklift monitoring systems.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Performing administrative duties relevant to the position
Keeping update on compliance regulations
Monitoring SCADA and resolving issues related to the SCADA
Report building and testing
SQL Querying and query construction
Liaising with contractors and service providers
Conduct OEE, SCADA and Forklift meetings and planning sessions accordingly
Assisting in placing orders for Forklifts repairs and usage
Assisting on the floor activities: Switching on PC’s, assisting with on floor logins, testing of systems and forklift pins.
Maintaining battery charging bays and ensuring services are carried out timeously.
Keeping up to date on compliance and safety regulations for Forklifts
Assessing supplier performances and maintaining Forklift Monitoring system
SOP controls and development in relation to SCADA and Forklift usage
Method studies, Time Studies and Work Flow analysis to improve forklift usage efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS
Tertiary education in the field of Industrial Engineering essential
Education in any IT related field advantageous
Programming experience in C++, Python, VBA or any other programming language
Querying experience in SQL and Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies advantageous.
WORK EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years working experience in a Production/Manufacturing/Engineering environment.
Previous project management experience.
Good understanding of ISO 9001 or IATF elements.
Ability to apply problem solving techniques.

Ability to work under pressure and must be able to motivate the team
Valid SA drivers licence imperative
