This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Management Couple to join a luxury lodge in the Addo region, overseeing two key operational pillars: Maintenance and Front Office. The successful couple will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the property operates smoothly, safely, and to the highest guest standards. One partner will lead all aspects of property maintenance and infrastructure management, while the other drives the guest experience through exceptional front office leadership and strong administrative control. This is a live-in, rotational position ideal for a hands-on, solutions-driven couple who thrive in remote hospitality environments and are committed to delivering excellence across both guest-facing and back-of-house operations. Key Responsibilities Maintenance Manager · Oversee the upkeep, repair, and functionality of all lodge infrastructure, equipment, and guest-facing areas. · Implement and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance schedule. · Resolve maintenance issues promptly and effectively. · Manage external contractors, suppliers, and service providers. · Supervise maintenance and grounds staff to ensure optimal performance. · Maintain accurate documentation and expense tracking for all maintenance activities. · Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire regulations, and statutory requirements. · Work closely with the General Manager to maintain lodge standards and presentation. · Participate in management meetings and support broader operational decisions. · Proven experience in maintenance or facilities management, ideally in a hospitality setting. · Strong ability to manage teams, contractors, and maintenance operations. · Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and record-keeping skills. · Solid understanding of South African compliance and safety requirements. Front Office Manager · Serve as the face of reception, ensuring warm, efficient, and professional guest service. · Oversee daily front office operations including check-ins, check-outs, billing, and guest communication. · Coordinate arrivals, departures, and special requests with internal departments. · Prepare the daily sheet for morning meetings. · Act as the on-site liaison for off-site support departments (Reservations, Accounts, Stock Control, HR). · Handle administrative duties including scanning and signing off slips, staff leave documentation and assisting with stock counts. · Experience in front office or guest services within a luxury lodge or hotel. · Proficiency with PMS and reservation systems. · Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills. · High attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction. Working Conditions · Full-time rotational schedule: 21 days on / 7 days off. · Live-in role with on-site accommodation provided.
