Job Summary
SEMI-SKILLED DIESEL MECHANIC/EAST LONDON: Previous hands-on experience working on heavy-duty diesel trucks is essential. Candidates with semi-skilled mechanical experience who can work independently on basic repairs and assist with more complex mechanical work will be considered.
Minimum Requirements:
Previous experience working on heavy-duty diesel trucks
Basic knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, braking systems, and suspension components.
Ability to assist with routine servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, and mechanical repairs.
Experience with changing oil and filters, replacing brake components, and performing general mechanical maintenance.
Ability to identify mechanical faults and assist with breakdown repairs.
Knowledge of workshop tools, equipment, and safe working practices.
Willingness to work under the supervision of a qualified Diesel Mechanic.
A relevant mechanical qualification or trade-related training would be advantageous.
Must have a valid drivers license
Required Skills and Attributes:
Practical mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with large trucks.
Good problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious.
Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
Physically fit and willing to work in a demanding workshop environment.
