RESTAURANT MANAGER/EAST LONDON – will suit residents staying in Greenfields/Sunny ridge area. Must have a valid code 08 Driver’s license, and own reliable transport. This position would suit an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys being actively involved in the day-to-day running of a restaurant, thrives in a customer-focused environment, and takes pride in leading a successful team through example.

***Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and evenings, as required by the business.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in a Restaurant/Hospitality Management role.

• Previous experience using IQ Retail will be beneficial

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Experience in stock purchasing, stock control, and inventory management.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by example.

• Hands-on management style with a proactive approach and strong sense of urgency.

• Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities independently.

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.

• Lead, motivate, and develop staff by setting a positive example.

• Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong customer relationships.

• Ensure efficient service delivery with a strong sense of urgency during busy trading periods.

• Manage stock purchasing, stock control, and inventory levels.

• Monitor food and beverage costs while minimizing wastage.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.

• Prepare staff rosters and oversee daily staffing requirements.

• Ensure the restaurant maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.

• Drive sales by implementing creative ideas and promotions to enhance the customer experience.

• Perform administrative duties

Salary – R10,000 – R12,000 (depending on experience)
