Location: Durban

As an Internal Sales Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting and driving the company’s sales growth. Based in the office, you will be responsible for managing customer relationships, servicing existing clients, identifying new business opportunities, and providing professional product advice. You will act as a primary point of contact for customers, preparing quotations, closing sales, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Requirements and Responsibilities

Experience and Skills

• Proven experience as a Sales Executive or in a similar sales role.

• Strong understanding of sales techniques, negotiation, and marketing principles.

• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

• Fast learner with strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for sales.

• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must be well spoken, professional, and confident when dealing with customers.

• Customer-service oriented and target-driven.

Sales Responsibilities

• Service and maintain existing customer relationships.

• Actively identify and develop new business opportunities.

• Conduct market research to identify potential customers and new sales opportunities.

• Seek out new business through cold calling, networking, and social media.

• Arrange and conduct meetings with potential clients, understanding their requirements and concerns.

• Prepare and present product and service presentations when required.

• Generate accurate quotations and follow up on sales opportunities.

• Ensure product availability and stock awareness for sales opportunities and demonstrations.

• Negotiate and close deals, while effectively managing customer objections or complaints.

• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and company objectives.

• Gather customer feedback and share insights with management and the sales team.

• Prepare regular sales activity and performance reports.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric certificate

• Valid driver’s license (Code 08)

• Must be computer literate (Email, Microsoft Word, Excel)

• Experience with Pastel would be advantageous

• Experience in any of the following industries (truck/trailer parts; off-road vehicle accessories; industrial equipment; vehicle sales and accessories)

• Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans

• Must have no criminal record and be credit clear
