ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Community Manager who runs a room and converts it. You will own every community we have — an audience of more than two million followers across our social accounts, plus our private, invite-only membership community for wedding professionals — and you will be measured on what that audience does, not on how large it is.
Wedded Wonderland sits at the centre of the wedding and luxury lifestyle world, with two distinct audiences in the same house. On one side, wedding professionals: planners, photographers, florists, jewellers, designers, celebrants and destination specialists, who we serve through a private membership community. On the other, consumers: engaged couples and their families, who we serve through Wedded Concierge, Wonderland Studio and the rest of our consumer products and services.
Right now that audience is enormous and under-converted. Comments, DMs and story replies are answered inconsistently, and the path from a follower who loves our content to a customer who buys something is not owned by anyone. This role owns it. If someone asks us a question in a DM, the quality of that answer and whether it turns into a booking is your responsibility.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Own the communities
- Manage community and engagement across all Wedded Wonderland and Wedded Network social accounts — comments, DMs, story replies, shares and mentions — at the volume a multi-million follower audience generates.
- Set the response standards: how fast we reply, in what tone, what gets escalated, and what never gets said in public.
- Run the private professional membership community day to day. Set the daily rhythm, seed conversation, answer members, surface the good material and keep threads alive past the first reply.
- Own member onboarding and activation into the private community, and bring lapsing members back before they churn.
- Support the events and masterclass calendar end to end: promotion, RSVPs, reminders, day-of hosting support and replay distribution. Attendance rate is yours, not marketing's.
- Own the community guidelines across every surface. Handle disputes, spam and self-promotion quietly and fairly, and protect the tone of a luxury brand.
Convert community into customers
- Turn social community engagement into commercial outcomes across our full suite, not only the membership community. Consumer enquiries into Wedded Concierge and Wonderland Studio, and professional enquiries into our B2B products.
- Own the B2C side of this properly. Engaged couples arrive in our DMs and comments every day looking for help planning a wedding, and you are the person who moves them from a question to a product that answers it.
- Build the repeatable paths that make that happen: saved reply libraries, DM flows, link routing, lead capture, and clean handover into sales rather than a conversation that dies in an inbox.
- Move traffic in both directions — social into the community and into products, community wins back out to social.
- Produce light-touch supporting content: member and customer spotlights, testimonials, event promos and short-form cutdowns. You are not the head of content, but you can make an asset without waiting for one.
- Work inside our stack — Circle, GoHighLevel, Metricool, Canva and Zoho CRM — and use AI tooling to handle the volume without losing the human tone.
Data and insight
- Report on enquiries, bookings and conversions generated from community activity first, and on follower and engagement metrics second.
- Track response times, DM-to-enquiry rate, and which content formats actually produce commercial conversations rather than applause.
- Report monthly on private community health: member growth, weekly actives, activation, retention and event attendance. Honest numbers, including the bad ones.
- Feed what you learn back to content, paid and product. You will hear what this audience wants before anyone else does.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 3+ years in community management covering both large social audiences and a dedicated community platform. Circle, Skool, Kajabi, Mighty Networks, Discourse or equivalent. Tell us which, and what happened to the numbers while you had it.
- Proven experience managing engagement at scale on accounts with substantial followings, not a small brand page.
- Evidence that community work you owned produced commercial outcomes: enquiries, bookings, sign-ups or sales. Numbers, not adjectives.
- Comfort with B2C conversation. You can help a consumer who is spending real money on an emotional purchase, at speed, without sounding like a script.
- Experience running live events, masterclasses or AMAs inside a community, including the unglamorous promotion and follow-up.
- Excellent written English. You will be the voice of a luxury brand in public, unsupervised, across two very different audiences.
- The judgement to handle conflict, complaints, spam and self-promotion without a manager in the loop.
- Hours that overlap Sydney business hours.
NICE TO HAVE
- Wedding, events, hospitality, travel or luxury industry background.
- Circle specifically, including member management, gamification and paywalled courses.
- Running a paid or membership community where churn costs real money.
- Social selling or DM-based conversion experience, including saved replies, flows and lead capture.
- Light content production: Canva, short-form video editing, spotlight assets.
- Email and newsletter experience.
- Using AI tools to draft, summarise, triage and schedule at volume.
REQUIREMENT DURING JOB INTERVIEW
- Walk us through one community you grew and one commercial result you produced from it. What was the engagement when you took it on and when you left, and what did the community actually generate in enquiries, sign-ups or revenue? Bring dashboard screenshots where you can.
