Job Summary
Overview:
An opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical finance professional to take ownership of financial reporting, cost control, and operational finance within a manufacturing business unit. This role supports strategic decision-making and ensures strong financial governance across the plant.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- BCom / Diploma in Financial Accounting (or related)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance/accounting role
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills
- Experience with ERP systems (advantageous)
- Staff management (advantageous)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial analysis and support to operational teams and management
- Manage general ledger, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyse weekly/monthly financial reports and variance reports
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and daily cash positions
- Manage CAPEX processes, fixed assets, and tooling registers
- Conduct cost and product costing analysis, including variance investigations (PPV)
- Oversee creditors, debtors, and stock control processes
- Ensure compliance with tax, statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, UIF, etc.), and internal controls
- Support audits (internal & external) and year-end processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within finance and operations
