Sous Chef – Luxury Lodge | Ceres, Western Cape Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join a luxury lodge in Ceres, Western Cape. This live-in role offers an opportunity to work alongside the Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences in a high-end hospitality setting. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, presentation, and consistency Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and professional development Contribute to menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients Monitor inventory, manage stock, and control food costs Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations within the kitchen Support the Head Chef in maintaining organisation, efficiency, and high standards of service Assist with food preparation for a la carte, buffet, and special events as required Requirements: Formal culinary qualification or equivalent professional experience Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role within luxury hospitality Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills Creative and detail-oriented with a passion for high-quality cuisine Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain professional standards Willingness to live and work in a remote lodge environment Package: Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience Live-in position This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Sous Chef to advance their career within a prestigious luxury lodge, contributing to a high-performing culinary team and delivering memorable guest experiences.
