From elegant plated dinners to relaxed bush-style meals, the Head Chef will set the culinary tone and lead a kitchen that matches the lodge’s exceptional guest experience. ?️ The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and leadership of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards across all meals while maintaining excellent cost control, hygiene, and team morale. ?? Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a positive, motivated, and professional environment • Design and execute creative, seasonal menus in line with luxury lodge standards • Oversee all food preparation, presentation, and service for guest meals and staff catering • Manage food costs, budgeting, stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships • Ensure strict adherence to HACCP, hygiene, and health & safety standards • Cater for dietary requirements and special guest requests with confidence and flair • Work closely with lodge management to enhance the overall guest experience • Train, mentor, and develop junior kitchen staff ? Candidate Requirements • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a luxury lodge, hotel, or high-end hospitality environment • Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, adaptable approach • Passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients and refined presentation • Excellent organisational, communication, and time-management skills • Ability to thrive in a remote, live-in environment • Calm under pressure with a genuine love for hospitality and guest satisfaction ?
