Job Summary
An opportunity is available for an experienced Laser Scanning Specialist to apply their technical skills in laser scanning, data processing and 3D modelling. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out site surveys, processing scan data and producing accurate 3D models to support project requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct laser scanning surveys using state-of-the-art equipment and software
Process and analyze data collected from laser scanning surveys
Create accurate 3D models and point clouds for various projects
Collaborate with design teams to ensure project requirements are met
Provide technical support and expertise to project teams
Maintain and calibrate laser scanning equipment
Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and trends in laser scanning technology
Adhere to safety protocols and best practices while conducting surveys
Prepare and present reports and presentations to clients and stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in laser scanning and 3D modeling
Proficient in using laser scanning equipment and software (e.g. Leica Cyclone, FARO Scene, Autodesk Recap)
SKILLS:
Strong understanding of surveying and mapping principles
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise deliverables
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in laser scanning
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
