Salary: R25 000 CTC per month
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent (after 3-month probation period)

Hours: Monday to Friday, standard commercial office hours (flexibility occasionally required for month-end reconciliations, billing cut-offs, or urgent maintenance deadlines)

Key Responsibilities
Tenant Debtors & Billing: Drive rental and debt collections; generate monthly tenant billing statements; upload municipal slips from meter reading partners; and handle tenant liaison regarding account queries.
Utility Recoveries & Municipal Accounts: Administer and import utility recoveries for tenant billing; reconcile direct municipal charges against general ledgers; open and close municipal accounts; and control/pay prepaid electricity accounts via council portals.
Creditors & Financial Administration: Execute creditors data input on MDA/MRI; perform daily reconciliations; handle general administrative support; and assist the Financial Accountant with annual audit preparation and audit-related queries.
Property Maintenance Co-ordination: Assist with the planning and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules; process and control job cards; obtain comparative supplier quotes; monitor project deadlines; maintain proper stock/material handling; and maintain property documentation systems.
Stakeholder Liaison & Reporting: Prepare maintenance, costing, and site risk analysis reports; liaise professionally with contractors, suppliers, city councils, tenants, and internal finance/maintenance teams.
Are You the Perfect Fit?
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Grade 12 / Matric PLUS a completed Degree, National Diploma, or Certificate in Accounting or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in property administration, property bookkeeping, or a similar environment.
Software Proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel; hands-on familiarity with property management software (MDA Property / MRI Property Central is a distinct advantage).
Licensing: Valid South African Driver’s License.
Core Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical reasoning, ability to use initiative, methodical approach to planning and record-keeping, and strong relationship-building skills.
Beneficial Skills & Experience:
Hands-on knowledge of MDA Property / MRI Property Central systems.
Prior experience with preventative maintenance planning schedules, risk analysis, and project costing.
