Centurion Lead BI Developer
Are you a highly analytical technical leader who can balance strategic execution with people management? A premier automotive parts distributor is seeking a driven Lead BI Developer to join their team at their Head Office in Centurion.
Reporting directly to the PMO Manager, you will take ownership of data strategies, oversee major business data projects, and lead a high-performing technical team (Data Scientist, Data Engineer, BI Developer, and Master Data Administrator) to drive data warehousing solutions and optimize reporting structures.

Key Responsibilities
Data Platform & Strategy: Build, implement, and continuously improve a data warehousing solution aligned with business goals.
Report Development: Document requirements, build appropriate report UIs, and optimize the reporting portfolio to support ExCo and management decisions.
People Management: Direct, coach, and supervise a dedicated data team, managing daily KPIs and performance appraisals.
Task & Relationship Management: Manage BI projects from end to end, maintain data security protocols (SOD), and collaborate across departments to optimize delivery.
Are You the Perfect Fit?
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Diploma or Degree in Information Systems.
Technical Skills & Languages:
Strong proficiency in Python, R, MS SQL, and NoSQL.
Solid experience with API handling and SSIS.
Advanced understanding of data warehouse design and database structures.
System Knowledge: Competence in Microsoft 365 and BI Reporting tools (Power BI is a strong advantage).
Leadership Experience: Demonstrated management skills with a proven ability to lead and develop a diverse technical team.
Attributes: Robust problem-solving skills, project management capabilities, and resilience under deadline pressure.
Beneficial Skills:
Azure cloud computing (Azure data lake, database, analysis, and integration services).
Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Forms, and Microsoft Dataverse.
Ability to read and create Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) and usage of AI techniques.
Understanding of C#, SSRS, and PBIRS.
