Centurion Lead BI Developer

Location: Centurion, Gauteng

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: R45,000 to R70,000 CTC per month (Negotiable based on experience)

Benefits: Provident Fund and December Bonus

Working Hours: Office-based position, Monday – Friday, 08:00 to 17:00

Purpose of the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced, analytical, and highly technical Lead BI Developer (with strong Data Science and Data Analytics capabilities) to drive the development, optimization, and maintenance of our core Business Intelligence System. In this role, you will take the lead on critical data architecture and reporting frameworks to assist with various complex corporate projects.

Key Responsibilities

• System Development: Build, maintain, and scale robust Business Intelligence systems, structures, and tools.

• Data Architecture: Oversee data warehouse design and implement end-to-end data pipelines using Azure cloud ecosystems.

• Analytics & Engineering: Utilize Python, R, and advanced MS SQL/NoSQL to clean, transform, model, and analyze large datasets.

• Reporting & Insights: Deliver high-impact BI reporting and interactive dashboards that translate complex data into actionable business strategy.

• Integration: Model data relationships, design Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), and map integrations using Azure analysis and integration services.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Minimum of a Diploma or Degree in Information Systems or a closely related quantitative field.

• Experience: 5 to 15 years of proven, hands-on experience working as a Senior or Lead Developer within the BI/Data arena.

• Core Technical Stack:

  • Master level in Python and R (programming languages).

  • Exceptional skills in MS SQL and NoSQL environments.

  • Solid expertise in Data Warehouse Design.

  • Complete proficiency with Azure Data Lake and Database.

  • Strong working knowledge of Azure Analysis and Integration Services.

  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft 365 Suite.

Added Advantages & Beneficial Skills

• BI Platforms: Deep experience in Power BI or other leading BI technologies.

• Cloud Computing: Hands-on exposure to broader Azure Cloud Computing architectures.

• Microsoft Power Platform: Familiarity with Power Automate, Microsoft Forms, and Microsoft Dataverse.

• System Blueprinting: Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and create complex Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD).

Mandatory Legal Requirements

• Must be a South African Born Citizen.

• Must have a completely clean criminal record.

• Must have a clean credit/ITC record (no active judgments, bad debt, or adverse credit history).

• Note: Full criminal and ITC background vetting will be conducted on applicant.
