Luxury Jewellery Brand with Head Office based in Cape Town is looking for a Video Editor / Motion Designer. The purpose of the role is to is to build a distinctive and globally relevant luxury brand through exceptional storytelling, design and content while protecting the consistency and integrity of the brand across every customer touchpoint. The creative department operate as an in-house luxury brand and content engine : protecting the brand; creating distinctive work ; and producing enough high-quality content to support digital; CRM, retail, PR and international growth. Regardless of role, every team member will be accountable for five principles: Luxury Standard Distinctiveness Story Before Content Commercial Awareness Craftsmanship Purpose of the role: Turn footage into premium, platform-specific content Reels; campaign films, paid media edits, animations Transform footage into sophisticated, emotionally compelling content optimised for different channels and audiences. Owns: Video editing Colour grading Sound treatment Motion graphics Campaign cut-downs Social edits Paid-media versions Platform adaptation Duties: Edit campaign, social and product content. Create multiple narratives and formats from core footage. Develop sophisticated pacing appropriate to luxury storytelling. Create short-form and long-form edits. Produce platform-specific versions. Work with performance data to understand which creative formats generate stronger engagement. Maintain consistency in colour, sound and visual treatment. Requirements: A diploma or degree in film, fine arts, graphic design, or multimedia At least 2–5 years working in creative agencies, media houses, or fast-paced production environments. Strong visual portfolio, and mastery over post-production tools like Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and optionally 3D tools like Cinema 4D or Blender. Strong grasp of pacing, rhythm, colour grading, audio mixing (Audition), typography, and animation principles. Understanding of video codecs, container formats, bitrates, and export settings optimized for web, broadcast, or social platforms.
