Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Vehicle Maintenance Co-ordinator to join our Transport Department. This role is responsible for ensuring our fleet is maintained to the highest mechanical, safety, appearance, and comfort standards while supporting daily transport operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing vehicle maintenance processes, monitoring fleet performance through Cartrack systems, maintaining vehicle cleanliness standards, and assisting with transport co-ordination duties. Key Responsibilities Fleet Maintenance & Cartrack Management Monitor and manage daily vehicle maintenance requests through Cartrack. Accurately identify, record, and update maintenance issues. Coordinate maintenance processes with the Transport Administrator. Inspect and sign off vehicles following maintenance and repairs. Capture and maintain accurate maintenance cost records. Ensure all recurring maintenance schedules, licence renewals, and reminders are updated. Maintain real-time vehicle cost reporting and tracking. Research & Development Analyse fleet maintenance data and identify trends. Recommend solutions to improve vehicle performance and reduce maintenance issues. Research and introduce innovative products and solutions to improve guest comfort, vehicle performance, and operational efficiency. Vehicle Cleanliness & Presentation Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met. Ensure cleaning equipment and products are adequately stocked, maintained, and used correctly. Research and recommend improved cleaning products and methods. Maintain effective cleaning schedules and procedures. Transport Operations Support Manage the Transport WhatsApp communication platform during designated shifts. Assist drivers with transport-related queries and challenges. Respond to guest transport enquiries professionally and efficiently. Support late-shift transport operations when required. Guest Scheduling & Route Planning Schedule guest transport requirements and prepare daily transport lists. Communicate pick-up times with guests. Continuously improve route planning and scheduling efficiency. Work every second weekend as part of the operational roster. Administrative Support Provide support to the Transport Manager, Senior Transport Co-ordinator, Transport Administrator, and Reservations Department as required. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). Valid Code 10 Driver's Licence with a valid PDP (essential). Previous experience in transport, fleet management, logistics, vehicle maintenance, or a related field. Computer literacy and experience working with fleet management systems. Strong administrative and organisational skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work every second weekend.
