Interpret the overall business strategy and assist in crafting merchandise plans and product ranges that align with the company’s objectives.
Design and implement a cohesive planning framework that responds to market demand, highlights upsell opportunities, and considers end-of-life stock, while adhering to budgetary guidelines (OTB) and future season plans.
Use data insights, including input from global counterparts, to inform forecasts and contribute to range planning.
Provide critical planning insights and data to support the buying team throughout the procurement cycle.
Work closely with Buyers to ensure the selection of product samples is well-suited to the local market.
Partner with Retail, Buyers, and Merchandisers to ensure buy plans are clearly defined and understood by all involved.
Oversee the merchandise planning, logistics, and supply chain processes within the retail function.
Regularly track stock levels against forecasts and plans.
Oversee the consolidation and uploading of all purchase orders.
Support the design and optimization of order and inventory management systems, including planning, POS, logistics, and reporting tools.
Continuously refine reporting tools to evaluate historical sales, seasonal trends, aged stock, and clearance strategies.
Maintain and enhance a demand planning tool to enable proactive store and business-level planning.
Generate management reports tracking performance, margins, and stock lifecycle status.
Update and maintain an accurate “Available to Sell” (ATS) report on a weekly basis.
Create seasonal and ATS order documents.
Design dashboards to visualize performance, highlight growth opportunities, and flag risks.
Oversee the full merchandise planning process and function.
Lead recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and succession planning within the department.
Ensure compliance with all planning processes and standards.
Bachelor's degree in Retail, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
At least 3 years’ experience in a senior planning or retail role, with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant merchandise and distribution planning experience.
Strategic thinker with the ability to communicate vision and direction effectively.
Proven experience managing diverse and distributed teams.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong numerical, analytical, and detail-focused mindset.
Highly organized and deadline-driven with excellent attention to detail.
Strong team player who encourages collaboration.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting without compromising on quality.
Reliable, punctual, and open to flexible working hours.
