About the Role
As a Senior Account Executive, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the sales strategy. You’ll own end-to-end account management—from relationship building to commercial negotiation—while identifying opportunities for account growth and delivering accurate sales forecasts. The role involves navigating client buying processes, managing risks, and working with internal teams to ensure delivery and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Manage relationships with data buyers and liaise with data sellers to monetise data assets
Own a portfolio of key accounts across industries: finance, insurance, healthcare, retail, telco
Serve as the primary commercial contact for client stakeholders
Engage with credit, marketing, data science, and executive-level client teams
Coordinate with cross-functional teams for sales enablement and delivery
Resolve data-related issues with internal support, product, and tech teams
Account Growth & Retention
Proactively drive renewals through value demonstration and account planning
Initiate upsell and cross-sell conversations based on evolving needs
Manage full sales cycle including budgeting, SLAs, contracting, and closure
Deliver commercial proposals aligned to client goals
Strategic Alignment & Use Case Expansion
Create and maintain strategic account plans and roadmaps
Conduct regular account reviews and roadmap alignment sessions
Advocate client needs internally across product, delivery, and legal teams
Educate clients on data use cases and platform capabilities
Pipeline & Performance Management
Provide accurate sales forecasts based on activity and pipeline trends
Maintain CRM data and performance metrics
Achieve KPAs and KPIs defined for the role
Compliance-Focused Advisory
Identify and mitigate account or compliance risks
Support clients in aligning with data governance standards such as POPIA and ISO 27001
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree and 5–10 years in B2B account management or client success
Experience in SaaS, data sales, or consulting
Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder accounts, including executive interactions
Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
