Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced and engaging Sales Trainer to join a leading luxury safari and travel brand based in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a training professional with a strong background in luxury travel sales and a genuine passion for developing high-performing teams within a premium hospitality environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, delivering, and continuously improving training initiatives across both sales and operational teams, ensuring exceptional product knowledge, service delivery, and sales performance throughout the business. Package • Salary: Around R45,000 dependent on experience • Live-out position based in Cape Town The Role The Sales Trainer will be responsible for creating impactful learning experiences that support employee growth, strengthen operational standards, and elevate client service delivery across the business. Key Responsibilities • Design and facilitate training programmes for Sales and Operations teams • Conduct regular training needs assessments and identify areas for development • Support onboarding and induction training for new team members • Develop tailored remedial and upskilling programmes where required • Continuously review and improve training content, delivery methods, and effectiveness • Create, formalise, and maintain training manuals, guides, and supporting materials • Assist with the digitisation of training resources, including video and online learning content • Monitor team progress and ensure training standards are consistently achieved • Work closely with department heads and management teams to align training objectives with operational goals Training Focus Areas • CRM systems, booking platforms, communication tools, and payment systems • Sales procedures and operational workflows • Client communication and luxury service standards • Travel documentation, supplier coordination, and itinerary management • Destination and product knowledge, particularly luxury safari experiences • End-to-end sales processes from enquiry through to confirmation and after-sales service Requirements • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Travel Consultant within a B2C luxury travel environment working with international inbound clients • Previous experience in a training, coaching, or facilitation role within travel or hospitality advantageous • Strong knowledge of East Africa and Southern African destinations • Excellent understanding of luxury safari products, logistics, and guest expectations • Experience working with CRM systems, ideally HubSpot or similar platforms • Understanding of training methodologies and adult learning principles • Experience developing training programmes and supporting materials Skills & Attributes • Strong facilitation and presentation skills • Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities • Highly organised with strong administrative and planning skills • Adaptable, solutions-driven, and proactive in approach • Passion for learning, mentorship, and people development • Ability to inspire confidence and growth within teams • Strong service-driven mindset with attention to detail What’s on Offer • Opportunity to join a respected luxury safari and travel brand • Collaborative and professional working environment • Ongoing development and career growth opportunities • Exposure to a dynamic and high-performing hospitality and travel industry environment
