Sales Manager – Ultra- Luxury Lodges Africa – International Brand – Cape Town A prestigious five-star international hospitality group, representing a portfolio of 15 luxury lodges across Africa, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join its Cape Town-based team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a polished and commercially driven sales professional with proven experience in the luxury lodge, leisure travel and high-end hospitality markets across South Africa and Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening trade relationships, developing new business opportunities and representing an outstanding collection of luxury African properties to both local and international markets. The ideal candidate will bring strong destination knowledge, established industry relationships and a deep understanding of the luxury leisure segment, particularly within lodges, safari properties and experiential travel. Salary: R50;000 basic salary plus bonus, profit share and benefits Total Package Equivalent: Approximately R70,000 per month Description: Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic sales plans to grow revenue across the group’s portfolio of luxury lodges. Manage and strengthen relationships with key trade partners, tour operators, DMCs, travel designers, consortia and luxury leisure travel specialists. Identify and secure new business opportunities within South Africa, Africa and selected international source markets. Represent the brand professionally at sales meetings, trade events, roadshows, networking functions and industry engagements. Work closely with the reservations, marketing and operations teams to ensure a seamless sales approach and consistent brand messaging. Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activity, rate positioning and luxury travel demand. Drive sales activity across both existing and new accounts, ensuring consistent follow-up, relationship management and conversion. Prepare sales reports, forecasts and market feedback for senior management. Support the development of sales campaigns, product updates, presentations and trade-facing material. Ensure all client and trade relationships reflect the standards of a five-star international hospitality brand. Act as a brand ambassador for a portfolio of luxury lodges, promoting the guest experience, product offering and unique selling points of each property. Requirements: Minimum Requirements Proven experience in sales management within the luxury hospitality, lodge, safari, leisure travel or high-end tourism sector. Strong existing relationships within the South African and African luxury leisure travel markets. Previous experience selling luxury lodges, safari properties, boutique hotels or premium experiential travel products is highly advantageous. Excellent understanding of the luxury leisure market, including tour operators, DMCs, travel designers and trade partners. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities, grow accounts and drive revenue. Professional presentation skills and the confidence to represent a five-star international brand. Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills. Highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage multiple accounts and priorities. Strong reporting, planning and administrative ability. Based in Cape Town, or willing to be Cape Town based. Willingness to travel when required for trade shows, sales calls, roadshows and industry events. A genuine passion for luxury hospitality, African travel and high-end guest experiences.
