Revenue Manager - Large Five-Star Hotel – Cape Town A large-scale five-star hotel in Cape Town is seeking a highly analytical and commercially driven Revenue Manager to lead revenue strategy across accommodation, outlets, and distribution channels. This is a senior role suited to a strategic thinker with proven experience managing complex inventory, high room volumes, and multiple market segments in a luxury environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities Revenue Strategy & Optimisation Develop; implement, and continuously refine revenue management strategies to maximise RevPAR, ADR, and total hotel revenue Analyse demand patterns, market trends, and competitor performance within the Cape Town luxury hospitality market Set pricing strategies, rate structures, restrictions, and inventory controls across all channels Drive yield management strategies for peak, shoulder, and low-demand periods Forecasting; Budgeting & Reporting Prepare accurate daily, weekly, monthly, and annual revenue forecasts Analyse performance against budget and provide strategic insights to the executive team Produce detailed reports on pickup, pace, segmentation, and channel performance Support annual budgeting and long-term financial planning processes Distribution & Systems Management Manage PMS, RMS, channel managers, CRS, and OTA relationships Ensure rate parity, accurate content, and optimal visibility across all distribution channels Work closely with marketing and digital teams to maximise direct bookings and conversion Collaborate with sales on group pricing, corporate contracts, and negotiated rates Leadership & Collaboration Lead and mentor the reservations and revenue teams, ensuring best practices and SOP compliance Partner closely with the General Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams Participate in executive and strategy meetings, providing data-driven recommendations Oversee training on revenue systems, pricing strategies, and forecasting methodologies Commercial & Guest Focus Balance revenue optimisation with brand positioning and guest experience Monitor guest feedback and market perception related to pricing and availability Ensure compliance with brand standards, policies, and governance requirements Requirements Minimum 7 years’ experience in revenue management within large four/five-star or luxury hotels Proven track record of managing high room inventory and complex market segmentation Advanced knowledge of revenue management systems and hospitality technology Strong analytical, forecasting, and financial modelling skills Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Personal Attributes Results-driven and detail-oriented Confident decision-maker with strong leadership presence Proactive; adaptable, and solutions-focused High professional and ethical standards Location Cape Town, Western Cape To Apply Please submit: An updated CV Contactable references Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
