Job Summary
A leading hotel group in Cape Town is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Regional Revenue Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Group Commercial & Revenue Manager ; this multi-property role focuses on maximizing incremental; profitable revenue across multiple hotels within a dedicated region. This is an exciting opportunity for a revenue leader who is passionate about data-driven decision-making, strategic revenue management, and commercial optimization . Key Responsibilities Revenue Optimization Develop and implement revenue management strategies to maximize room and ancillary revenue. Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and customer behavior to inform pricing and inventory decisions. Facilitate and drive weekly Revenue Meetings with General Managers and Heads of Departments (HODs). Identify and optimize incremental revenue opportunities through strategic pricing, market mix analysis, and inventory control. Provide support to hotels in achieving budgets and accurate forecasting principles . Performance Monitoring & Reporting Conduct month-end performance analysis and provide insights for continuous improvement. Optimize all distribution channels (Apply Below, GDS, OTA) to ensure fair market share is achieved or surpassed . Monitor and adjust rates, availability, and distribution channels to optimize yield. Stay updated on market dynamics, competitor trends, and demand generators . Prepare detailed reports and forecasts to support decision-making and revenue growth. Systems You Will Work On To excel in this role, you must be proficient in or willing to learn the following industry-specific Revenue Management & Distribution Systems : Property Management Systems (PMS): ✔ Optima Central Reservations & Channel Management: ✔ eRes / Nebul ✔ TravelClick / Amadeus ✔ ProfitRoom Sales & RFP Platforms: ✔ Salesforce (Sales System) ✔ Lanyon / Cvent (RFPs) Requirements 4–5 years of proven experience in revenue management, preferably within multiple hotels . A university degree in business, hospitality, or a related field. Strong background in Rooms, F&B, and Sales. Expertise in revenue management systems and data-driven decision-making. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools . Ability to collaborate effectively across departments while maintaining attention to detail. Key Competencies Analytical & Critical Thinking: Ability to recognize patterns in complex data and identify revenue opportunities. Total Hotel Revenue Management Expertise: Understanding of pricing, sales cycles, inventory management, and account strategies. Financial Acumen: Knowledge of P&L statements, operating budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting. Strong Communication & Presentation Skills. Adaptability to Market Trends and Conditions.
