Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef de Partie for a luxury restaurant based in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative pastry professional who thrives in a high-end culinary environment and is committed to delivering exceptional quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods
- Ensure consistency in presentation and flavour standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the pastry section
- Assist with stock control and ingredient management
- Work closely with the senior kitchen team to develop seasonal and innovative dessert offerings
- Ensure all food preparation complies with health and safety regulations
- Support junior kitchen staff where required
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie within a luxury restaurant or similar high-end environment
- Strong pastry and baking skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Creative flair and passion for pastry arts
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
Package:
- Salary: R16,000
