Guest Liaison / Night Relief – Cape Town, Western Cape

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a professional, personable and service-driven Guest Liaison / Night Relief candidate to join a luxury hotel in Cape Town. This opportunity is ideal for a hospitality professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences, has excellent communication skills and can confidently manage guest relations and overnight responsibilities while maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests and provide a warm, professional and personalised service throughout their stay.
  

• Act as a primary point of contact for guest enquiries, requests and special arrangements.
  

• Assist with guest check-ins, check-outs and the coordination of arrivals and departures.
  

• Build positive relationships with guests and anticipate their needs to ensure a memorable experience.
  

• Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly where possible.
  

• Communicate effectively with housekeeping, food and beverage, reception and management teams.
  

• Assist with the coordination of guest activities, reservations and special requests.
  

• Conduct night relief duties, ensuring the smooth running of hotel operations during overnight shifts.
  

• Monitor the property during night shifts and ensure guest comfort, safety and security.
  

• Manage overnight enquiries and operational matters, escalating concerns to management when necessary.
  

• Complete relevant reports, administrative tasks and handover notes for the incoming team.
  

• Maintain excellent standards of presentation, professionalism and attention to detail at all times.
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience in guest relations, front office or a similar role within a luxury hotel or hospitality establishment.
  

• A strong understanding of luxury service standards and guest expectations.
  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  

• A friendly, professional and approachable manner.
  

• Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  

• The ability to handle guest concerns calmly and professionally.
  

• Confidence in working independently during night shifts and making sound decisions when required.
  

• Computer literacy and familiarity with hotel reservation or property management systems.
  

• A flexible approach to working shifts, including overnight duties, weekends and public holidays.
  

• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.
  

Salary: R16,800 per month.

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape.
