Job Summary
Our client, a 5-star Hotel situated in Cape Town is looking to strengthen their team by adding an experienced Front Office Manager . The Front Office Manager will be responsible for the monitoring, team management and delivery of front desk activities (check-in, check-out, night audit, guest relations and luggage services), ensuring that internal and external standards and procedures are continuously achieved, client disputes / queries are resolved and that the customer experience provided by the department is professionally executed in line with the establishment's standards and legislative requirements. Responsibilities: Oversees daily hotel reception operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, managing staff, and facilitating smooth check-ins/check-outs. Responsibilities include training team members, handling guest complaints, managing budgets, and implementing procedures. Hotel Revenue Optimisation Maintain front office operational standards, ensuring front desk areas are organized, and procedures are followed. Prepare reports, manage budgets, and oversee inventory of office supplies. Manage the guest arrival/departure process, handling complaints, special requests, and VIP services efficiently. Supervise; train, and schedule front desk agents, concierges, and night auditors to ensure high-performance service. Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to resolve issues and improve service. Requirements: 3 Year Hotel School Diploma or equivalent National Qualification at a Diploma level Minimum of 7 years’ experience with 3 years in a supervisory /management position in the hospitality industry (specifically 4- or 5-star properties) - Previous experience in duty management is an advantage Apply business acumen and sound common sense to the overall management of guest relations operations and teams within defined standards. Monitor changes in the hotel and is quick to act upon potential opportunities, risks and challenges.
