Front of House Restaurant Manager: Luxury Wine Estate, Franschhoek A prestigious wine estate in Franschhoek is seeking an experienced and service-driven Front of House (FOH) Restaurant Manager to lead its front-line guest operations. This is an exceptional opportunity for a hospitality professional with a passion for fine dining, wine culture, and delivering world-class service. Key Responsibilities Oversee all front-of-house operations to ensure seamless and memorable guest experiences Lead; train, and motivate FOH staff, maintaining a high level of professionalism and service excellence Manage reservations, guest flow, and table allocations to optimise service efficiency Uphold and enforce service standards, presentation guidelines, and brand values Handle guest queries, compliments, and complaints with confidence and grace Work closely with the kitchen and management teams to ensure smooth coordination during service Assist with wine service, upselling, and promoting estate offerings Monitor stock levels for FOH supplies, including beverages and service equipment Manage cash-ups, POS systems, and general administrative duties Support in planning and executing special events, tastings, and private functions Requirements Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager in an upmarket dining environment Strong understanding of wine service and food-and-wine pairing (wine certification advantageous) Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Excellent organisational abilities with strong attention to detail Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional presence Proficient in reservation systems, POS management, and basic administrative tasks Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays Passion for hospitality, guest satisfaction, and creating standout experiences To apply: Please submit your updated CV, a recent profile photo, and any written or telephonic references.
