Job Summary
A leading luxury hotel in Cape Town is seeking a highly experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead a large, fast-paced Food & Beverage operation delivering 5-star service standards within a high-volume environment. This is a senior operational leadership role requiring strong commercial acumen, hands-on management, and the ability to drive consistency, quality, and profitability across all outlets. The role is suited to an established F&B leader with a proven track record in managing complex hotel food and beverage operations at scale. Minimum Requirements (Essential) Applicants must meet all of the following requirements to be considered: Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Manager in a 5-star or high-end luxury hotel Demonstrated experience managing high-volume Food & Beverage operations Experience across multiple outlets (restaurant(s), bar(s), room service, events/banqueting) Strong understanding of 5-star service standards Proven leadership experience managing large teams Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control Willing and able to work shifts ; including weekends, evenings, and public holidays South African ID (non-negotiable) Matric (Grade 12) Relevant Hospitality / Food & Beverage Management qualification Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Professional presence with a hands-on leadership style ITC and Criminal Checks will be required Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the full Food & Beverage operation across all outlets Ensure consistent delivery of 5-star service standards in all guest-facing areas Drive operational efficiency, quality control, and service excellence in a high-volume environment Manage departmental budgets, cost of sales, stock control, and profitability Lead; train, develop, and performance-manage F&B management and operational teams Oversee menu execution, service flow, and guest satisfaction across outlets Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards Work closely with Executive Chef, Operations, and senior management Handle guest feedback, escalations, and service recovery professionally Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives Only candidates meeting the minimum requirements will be considered.
