A prestigious luxury 5-star hotel in the heart of Cape Town is seeking an accomplished and commercially minded Director of Food & Beverage to lead its award-winning F&B division. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced hospitality leader with a passion for culinary excellence, luxury service standards, guest experience, and operational performance. The successful candidate will oversee a diverse portfolio of restaurants, bars, banqueting operations, and in-room dining while driving profitability, innovation, and service excellence across the business. The Role Reporting to senior hotel leadership, the Director of Food & Beverage will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of all food and beverage outlets, ensuring world-class guest experiences while achieving financial and operational objectives. Salary: Basic R45 000 – R50 000 + Benefits Annual Uniform Allowance Performance Bonus (eligible after 6 months of service) Bonus cycle runs from April to March Opportunity to earn up to 160% of target bonus (40% of annual base salary) based on financial performance, guest satisfaction, people management, compliance, and individual performance metrics Description: Key Responsibilities Oversee all Food & Beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, banqueting, events, and room service Drive guest satisfaction through exceptional service delivery and continuous improvement initiatives Develop and implement revenue growth strategies while maintaining profitability targets Lead; mentor, and develop a team of managers, chefs, and service professionals Manage budgets, forecasting, financial controls, and cost management processes Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and quality assurance standards Work closely with the Executive Chef and department heads to deliver outstanding guest experiences Maintain luxury hospitality standards across all outlets and service touchpoints Monitor industry trends and introduce innovative concepts to enhance the guest offering Requirements: Proven experience in a senior Food & Beverage leadership role within a luxury hotel, resort, or hospitality environment Strong commercial, financial, and operational management skills Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and multi-outlet operations Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities Passion for guest service, culinary excellence, innovation, and sustainability Relevant qualification in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Management, or a related field South African citizen or valid authorisation to work in South Africa
