Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Director of Food & Beverage for a prestigious hotel in Cape Town. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations across the property, driving service excellence, commercial performance and exceptional guest experiences. The successful candidate will bring strong operational leadership, financial acumen and a proven track record within high-end hospitality. Please note: this position is only open to South African citizens and South African permanent residents. Key responsibilities: Lead and manage all food and beverage operations across the hotel Develop and implement strategies to maximise revenue, profitability and guest satisfaction Maintain exceptional standards of service across all F&B outlets and banqueting operations Oversee departmental budgets, forecasting, cost control and financial reporting Monitor revenue performance and identify opportunities to improve commercial results Recruit; train, mentor and develop F&B management and operational teams Ensure consistent service delivery and adherence to luxury hospitality standards Oversee menu planning and development in collaboration with culinary teams Manage special events, functions and banqueting operations Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety regulations Monitor guest feedback and implement operational improvements where required Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless overall guest experience Maintain awareness of current food and beverage trends, service innovations and industry best practices Drive a strong culture of accountability, teamwork and service excellence Requirements: Extensive experience in a senior food and beverage leadership role within a luxury hotel environment Proven experience managing multiple F&B outlets and large operational teams Strong financial and commercial acumen Demonstrated experience managing budgets, costs, revenue and profitability Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational and strategic planning abilities Ability to perform effectively within a fast-paced, high-pressure luxury hospitality environment Strong understanding of food and beverage trends, service techniques and operational best practices High attention to detail and commitment to exceptional service standards Experience overseeing banqueting, events and high-volume F&B operations advantageous Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Hotel Management or a related field advantageous Package: Salary negotiable depending on experience, in the region of R 45 000 Performance bonus of up to 40% of annual salary Live-out position This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished F&B leader to take on a key executive role within a luxury hospitality operation in Cape Town.
