Hospitality and Outdoor – New Vacancy – Culinary Director/ Group Executive Chef Hospitality Consulting Group – Cape Town – Western Cape An exciting opportunity is available for a highly accomplished Culinary Director / Group Executive Chef to lead the culinary strategy and development of a growing hospitality portfolio operating across multiple hospitality concepts and projects. This senior leadership role is suited to a commercially driven culinary professional who can balance innovation, operational excellence and financial performance while guiding multiple culinary teams. The successful candidate will oversee culinary standards, menu development, food costing, concept creation and operational implementation across restaurants, hotels and luxury hospitality environments. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, strategic thinking and the ability to translate hospitality concepts into profitable and operationally successful outcomes. Job Description & Requirements: • Lead culinary strategy, menu development, food standards and culinary innovation across multiple hospitality operations. • Drive food cost management, profitability, operational efficiencies and quality assurance standards. • Recruit, mentor and develop senior culinary teams while fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. • Oversee new openings, concept development, operational implementation and culinary project support. • Manage supplier relationships, product sourcing, recipe standardisation and food quality controls. • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and operational standards across all sites. • Relevant formal culinary qualification from a recognised institution. • Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Group Executive Chef, Culinary Director or similar senior role. • Experience within premium restaurants, hotels, resorts or luxury hospitality environments. • Strong commercial understanding of budgeting, GP management, purchasing and waste control. • Experience leading multi-site culinary operations and high-performing teams. • Ability to travel locally and internationally when required.
