Clearing and Forwarding Branch Manager Cape Town
Our client is seeking an experienced Clearing and Forwarding Branch Manager to lead and manage their Cape Town branch within the Clearing and Forwarding industry. The role will be responsible for daily branch operations, staff management, customer service, compliance, profitability, and operational performance.
Salary: Up to R1.3 million CTC
Minimum Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, Commerce, or related field.
- 8–10 years’ experience in Clearing and Forwarding / Supply Chain operations.
- 3–5 years’ management experience in a branch or operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of imports, exports, customs clearing, forwarding, transport, and logistics.
- Good understanding of Customs and Excise legislation.
- Experience managing budgets, profitability, operational performance, and staff.
- Customer retention and business development experience advantageous.
- Cargowise or similar logistics ERP system experience advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily branch operations.
- Lead and manage branch staff.
- Ensure excellent customer service and service delivery.
- Manage budgets, costs, profitability, and branch targets.
- Oversee imports, exports, customs, forwarding, and transport operations.
- Ensure compliance with Customs, SHERQ, ISO, and company procedures.
- Build and maintain client and service provider relationships.
- Support customer retention, pricing, tenders, and new business.
- Monitor risks and resolve operational issues.
- Prepare branch reports for management.
