A leading high-volume, full-service hotel in Cape Town is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Executive Housekeeper to support the Executive Housekeeper in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction throughout the property. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the management and supervision of the Housekeeping Department. Ensure guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and laundry operations consistently meet hotel standards. Supervise; train, and motivate housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional service. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to maintain quality standards. Assist with staff scheduling, attendance management, and productivity monitoring. Monitor inventory levels and control housekeeping supplies, linen, and equipment. Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and company policies. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest service and efficient operations. Assist in managing departmental budgets and controlling costs. Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 / Matric certificate. 2-3 Years previous experience in a supervisory or management housekeeping role within a large 4-star or 5-star hotel (300 bedrooms or more). Proven experience in a high-volume hospitality environment. Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Sound knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, and health and safety regulations. Computer literacy and experience in MS Office and Opera essential Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays. Competencies: Strong organisational and planning skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving and decision-making ability. Guest-focused approach with a passion for service excellence.
