One of the TOP banks in S.A. is seeking an experienced candidate who have worked in the back office of an asset management company to join their team on a 6-month contract. To start 1 July 2025!
Key experience and qualifications:
Matric
Diploma / degree - Finance / Accounting
5 years' back office experience within financial services / asset management firm, leading a team, stakeholder management
Broad understanding of fund accounting, reconciliation systems / processes and procedures
Great track record - all reference checks will be conducted upfront
Clear background checks - all checks will be conducted upfront
Full understanding of different financial instruments

Evaluate processes, systems and procedures during the recon period

Use the relevant recon tool to reconcile client to custody / third party for all funds
Fund management
Collect and upload statements: unit trusts, fixed deposits, SWAPS, futures and notice deposits
Asset management
Responsible for mapping and exceptions: Funds, 3rd party and securities
Provide monthly confirmations
System training
Identify trends and offer recommendations
Constantly develop the trend cycle
