We are looking for a Technical Administrator for our Boksburg Branch.

Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12.
- Advanced Diploma in Engineering.
- Artisan qualification (Fitter or Millwright).
- Minimum 5 years’ foreman or technical support experience.
- Driver’s License (willing to travel).
- BOM experience and SAP/Navision knowledge.
- Mining and underground experience (2 years).
- Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical schematics, and ISO certification.
Basic Function:
- To manage, organise and manage product launches of our company and other associated companies by ensuring that technical systems and information are properly developed and maintained. This is including but not limited to Technical Bulletins, technical reports, risk assessments, RTDs (Request to Draft), Trail Reports and planned tasks Observations.
- To ensure that field and technical services support to all branches is maintained and that the customer, internal and external, is satisfied with our services technically. To complete engineering projects by planning organising and controlling all elements of the project. To supervise all development and implementation of a project in line with regulatory, statutory requirements and company Policies/standards. To assist with the warranty program as and when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and support of technical bulletins for engineering changes and improvements.
- Liaise and request suppliers for engineering drawings for system completion.
- On point with departmental drawings audits/checks and redlines for quality, production and procurement.
- RTD’s and design changes, liaison with Technical and Planning on required changes with drawings.
- Production floor support, liaise with the shop floor and run/capture improvement programs on designs.
- Support production with design queries on legacy machines, supply component drawings and investigation.
- Capture and reverse engineer manufacturing improvements (Fabrication, Machining and final assembly).
- Workshop tooling and jig back drafting/design.
- Hydraulic and electrical BOM audits, check and audit for manufacturability.
- Creation and auditing of parts and operator’s books.
- Alternative parts evaluation process
- Library items support (new items and back drafting)
- Liaise with supplies on sub-contractors (Scopes, models, drawings, parts, testing and installation documents) – Ansul, A and R, Air to cool.
- Electrical, Hose and pipe modelling across all machines.
- BC support, item creation, nomenclature and technical data support.
- Keep an accurate record and electronic database of all technical bulletins
- Document and track all engineering technical investigations, trails and technical issues pertaining to all equipment.
- Promote new products and modifications offered by our company in support of KAM’s (Key Account Managers) and their customers.
- Participate in the design review process when required.
- Participate in the commissioning of all new/trail/second-hand machines, mine Master and UVB products as and when required.
- Assist with technical information on machine changes required by the client or for general improvement.
- Ensure that all modifications are sent to relevant OEMs for approval before implementing it on site or in the industry.
- Develop and create a working bill of material for parts manuals where necessary.
- Assist with deadstock project program.
