Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer with substantial High Voltage and substation experience to lead commissioning, testing and energisation activities.
Age: No 28-year age restriction – candidates above 30 may be considered
Key Responsibilities
Commission HV installations and substations.
Develop and work with commissioning plans and procedures.
Conduct functional testing.
Perform system-integration testing.
Support energisation.
Perform FAT and SAT.
Work with protection systems.
Troubleshoot technical issues.
Prepare test documentation.
Support project handover.
Requirements
Preferably native Afrikaans-speaking or able to communicate fluently/conversationally in Afrikaans.
Good English communication skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Technology or related field.
Substantial HV/substation experience.
Commissioning experience.
Functional and system-integration testing experience.
Protection-system experience.
Troubleshooting experience.
Experience with FAT/SAT and energisation.
Willing to relocate internationally.
