Network Engineer Salary: R30,000 – R36,000 CTC pm Location: Plattekloof, Cape Town Type: Onsite About the Role When Tier 1 and Tier 2 can't resolve an issue, you're the person they call. An established IT services company needs an experienced Network Engineer to handle complex escalations, maintain client infrastructure and support technical projects. This is a hands-on role within an MSP environment, covering networking, servers, cloud infrastructure and security. Responsibilities Resolve complex Tier 3 incidents and identify root causes. Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, routing and switching. Support Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure and virtualisation. Deliver infrastructure upgrades, migrations and projects. Mentor engineers and manage client escalations. Maintain technical documentation and service standards. Requirements 6+ years' IT infrastructure/network experience, preferably in an MSP. Proven hands-on Tier 3 troubleshooting skills. Strong Fortinet FortiGate and networking experience. Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy. Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure and Intune. VMware and/or Hyper-V. Knowledge of backups, disaster recovery and security. Strong client communication and technical problem-solving skills. Advantageous: PowerShell, Veeam, Acronis, Sophos and relevant Fortinet, Cisco or Microsoft certifications. Ready to take ownership of the problems others can't solve?
