? POSITION OVERVIEW
The Systems Engineer will play a critical role in the design, deployment, and optimization of integrated mining systems. You will work across disciplines to ensure seamless system performance, reliability, and innovation in underground operations.
? KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
✔ Design and implement integrated smart mining systems (automation, telemetry, IoT)
✔ Develop and maintain system architecture for underground operations
✔ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, software)
✔ Oversee installation, commissioning, and optimization of systems underground
✔ Analyse system performance and recommend improvements
✔ Ensure compliance with mining safety standards and regulations
✔ Provide technical support and troubleshooting in operational environments
✔ Document system designs, processes, and maintenance procedures
? MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or similar)
✔ 3–7 years’ experience in systems engineering (mining/industrial preferred)
✔ Experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, CAN, Ethernet/IP)
✔ Knowledge of IoT platforms, automation systems, and SCADA
✔ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
✔ Willingness to work in underground mining environments
