A leading technology-focused engineering organisation is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join its innovative Research & Development team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the development of next-generation power conversion solutions across renewable energy, battery energy storage, telecommunications, and industrial applications, utilising advanced Silicon Carbide (SiC) and Gallium Nitride (GaN) technologies.
As a senior member of the engineering team, you will take a leading role in the full product development lifecycle, from concept definition and system architecture through to testing, validation, certification, and production release. You will be responsible for the design and optimisation of high-performance DC-DC and AC-DC power conversion systems, including topology selection, control system design, magnetic component development, PCB design, and laboratory-based evaluation.
Working within a multidisciplinary R&D environment, you will collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, mechanical, and systems engineers to deliver robust, efficient, and commercially viable products. Your technical leadership will be instrumental in driving innovation, improving product performance, and ensuring the successful delivery of cutting-edge power electronics solutions that support the evolving global energy landscape.
