Job Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Blackheath (Cape Town) based client in the manufacturing / FMCG sector. You must have a tertiary qualification in finance, be immediately available, be a mature and assertive female with 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing / FMCG using SYSPRO and Forex.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting / Finance
- Min. 5 years’ experience in financial accounting within a manufacturing / FMCG environment (non-negotiable)
- Proficiency in MS Office and SYSPRO
- Experience in Forex transactions and recons
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
- RSA citizen
- Mature and assertive personality
Responsibilities:
- Manage creditors, debtors and cashbook
- GL journals
- Recon accounts, asset register and loan accounts
- Prepare and analyse Management Reports
- Authorise banks / take out FEC and update schedule
- Authorise inward / payments and beneficiaries on Forex
- Take out daily payment deals on Accellerate / Forex platform
