Our client is seeking a creative, professional and highly organised Social Media & Office Administrator / Receptionist to join their dynamic team in East London.
This role is primarily focused on social media, content creation and supporting the company's marketing and brand presence, with reception and general office administration forming an important but secondary part of the position.
The ideal candidate will be confident with social media platforms, have an eye for engaging content and professional branding, and enjoy working in a corporate office environment. They should also be comfortable interacting with clients and visitors and providing a polished, professional front-of-house experience when required.
The client is open to considering either a full-time or half-day appointment, depending on the candidate's experience and suitability for the role.
Manage and maintain the company's social media platforms, ensuring content is consistent with the company's brand, professional image and marketing objectives.
Create, schedule and publish engaging social media content across relevant platforms.
Assist with developing creative content, including posts, images, videos, reels and other digital marketing material.
Monitor social media activity, comments, messages and enquiries and ensure appropriate responses or escalation.
Assist with maintaining a consistent brand identity across social media and other marketing channels.
Generate ideas for new social media content and marketing initiatives.
Assist with basic marketing campaigns, promotions and company communications.
Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to improve engagement and visibility.
Assist with updating and maintaining marketing and promotional material as required.
Track basic social media performance and engagement and provide feedback to management.
Professionally welcome and assist clients, visitors and callers.
Manage incoming calls, emails and general enquiries.
Provide a professional and welcoming front-of-house experience.
Coordinate and schedule appointments for the Directors.
Liaise with clients and visitors in a friendly, professional and confident manner.
Provide general administrative support including filing, scanning, photocopying and document management.
Maintain office supplies and coordinate stock orders when required.
Provide administrative support to the management team as needed.
Assist with general office organisation and ad hoc administrative tasks.
Perform ad hoc errands, including document collections and office-related deliveries using the company vehicle when required.
Grade 12 / Matric (proof required).
Minimum of 2 years' experience in social media, digital marketing, content creation, administration, reception or a similar role.
Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms and/or assisting with marketing activities.
Practical experience creating social media content is essential.
Strong understanding of social media platforms and current content trends.
Computer literate with good working knowledge of:
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Email systems
Social media platforms and content management tools
Basic design/content creation tools such as Canva would be advantageous.
Valid Code B driver's licence with own reliable transport.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Well-presented with a professional and confident manner.
Creative with a strong eye for design, branding and engaging content.
Social media savvy and digitally confident.
